چکیده
Introduction Diabetic foot ulceration is one of the most significant causes infection and amputation in neuropathic patients. Most often, plantar surface affected. Offloading by custom-molded insoles considered a crucial step prevention diabetic ulcers, although beneficial choice materials not well documented. This review focuses on identifying suitable material compositions for offloading foot. Materials Methods A systematic was performed with aid clinical librarian September 9, 2020. The according to Preferred Reporting Items Systematic Reviews Meta-analysis (PRISMA) guidelines. Studies were included based following eligibility criteria: interventions terms selection/properties outcomes reported as either pressure reduction and/or ulcer prevention. Bench studies also included. At each level selection, records reviewed two independent reviewers. Clinical appraised using ROBINS-1 tool. Results Through database search, 1131 identified an additional eight through references other sources. After removal duplicates, 927 screened, which resulted 74 full-text assessed eligibility. Thirty-seven qualitative synthesis. Twelve examined properties bench testing. Five finite element analysis. Nineteen parameters identified. Six supported use moderately deformable insole production. showed better performance combination under sustained loading. concluded that increasing thickness increased capabilities. Conclusions diversity study designs date precludes ability recommend type over other. Still some general considerations can be made. For solo-material insoles, are preferable, balancing need durability. Increasing may increase longevity insoles. Combining different seems enhance both capability durability Relevance When single-material design, preferable. enhances

Pressure relief and load redistribution by custom-made insoles in diabetic patients with neuropathy and foot deformity.
OBJECTIVE To study the effects of custom-made insoles on plantar pressures and load redistribution in neuropathic diabetic patients with foot deformity. DESIGN Cross-sectional. BACKGROUND Although custom-made insoles are commonly prescribed to diabetic patients, little quantitative data on their mechanical action exists. METHODS Regional in-shoe peak pressures and force-time integrals wer...
متن کاملA Common Weight Data Envelopment Analysis Approach for Material Selection
Material selection is one of the major problems in manufacturing environments since the improper selected material may lead to fail in the production processes and result in customer dissatisfaction and cost inefficiency. Every material has different properties which should be considered as major criteria during the material selection procedure. Selection criteria could be quantitative or quali...
متن کاملEffects of vibrating insoles on standing balance in diabetic neuropathy.
This study investigated the effects on standing balance of random vibrations applied to the plantar side of the feet by vibrating insoles in subjects with neuropathy and nondisabled subjects. In four different conditions (eyes open or closed and with or without an attention-demanding task [ATD]), subjects with neuropathy secondary to diabetes mellitus (n = 17) and nondisabled subjects (n = 15) ...

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of custom-made insoles based on the foot pressures and electromyography (EMG) activities in a subject group of idiopathic pes cavus which the term used to describe a foot type with an excessively high medial longitudinal arch [1-3]. The study was conducted using on 10 persons who were diagnosed idiopathic pes cavus by a podiatrist (an age 22...
